but some of the older models, the CD player tends to skip because most the kits for the CD player are crappy

Not sure how much "custom" work you want to do, but I have a single cab S10 that I am about to do a blowthrough in, and had one last year I did another blowthrough in. All panels come off super easy, and mids install in the door with minimal effort. Door panel is a pretty flat surface which makes deadening super easy. I picked up an '03 Single cab, 4 cyl/5 spd with 32k on the clock for $5k. Not too shabby. Gets close to 30mpg and is a decent all-around truck. Not a lot of room behind the seat, but I know a guy over on the S10 forums that has 12 8" behind the seat! I'll see if I can dig up a few pics of my blowthrough from last year...

Here are a few pics I found on the S10 site I posted them on last year. Not super high quality but you get the idea:

The last pic is of the box in the bed before I had the spray in bedliner done. It ended up being all black so you couldn't really tell what it was... just looked like a fuel cell or utility box. My buddy owns a sign shop, so we put an Alpine logo through his wireless table router and had it cut out of plexi, and used that over the front of the subs.

Toyota Celica's....I Had to do many installs in my friends. Supper Easy, plenty or mounting Depth and alot of room for subs. His was a 93 So I imagin all 91-99's should work.

I have a 240SX and a Honda CRX...both are pretty easy to work with.....the Explorers are nice...I also have one of those...but replacing the speaker wire on the front drivers door is He!! besides that its a good vehicle to work on....
yea yea, what do you not have? seriously i think from now on you should only be allowed to talk about one of your cars, otherwise your able to chime in on just about any car thread cause you have one of everything.

pre 2000 explorers fall apart on their own, you don't need to do anything :p for realz though, explorers are so easy to put systems in. i had a 93 and I can take the interior apart in a half hour
