cancellation?

right now i have a 12 in the backseat of my ex cab silverado, its behind the drivers seat on the backseat facing the passenger side of the truck, if i get another 12 and build the same box and put it on the passenger backseat facing the drivers side would the two subs cancel each other?

ok thanks, also my amp is 800x1 watts @ 2 ohm how do i wire it to get to 2 ohms?

ok i must be retarded or somethin cuz i cant figure out how to do this, im trying to wire two infinity reference series subs (4 ohm) to the amp to get a 2 ohm load. ive seen the pictures and diagrams but its confusing me on the amp, it looks like the amp is just a mono amp and mine is a two channel amp so thats where im stuck on.

just do as the diagram says I mean put one speaker + to the other speakers + then put then run the neagtive one like u did the postive.Then there should be 2 terminal left on one of the speakers.Run the other postive and nigatives to the amp.

now there not dual voice coils so if i run the negative to other subs negative and the positve to the other subs positive then i cant plug any into the amp

ok i might get it take 1 speaker wire put one half on the + side of the subs and plug that into the + side of the right and left channel of the amp, same for with the -, but if i do that doesnt that make my amp not bridged anymore?

Ok what you can do is wire the subs first, then worry about the amp.

Wire the + on one sub to the + on the other, and wire the - on one sub to the - on the other. Now get a seperate speaker wire and connect the + of it to one sub's +, and the - of it to the SAME sub's -. You should now have a + and a - on the opposite end that are not connected to anything.

This is what you are going to use to plug into the amp. Now if the amp is 2 ohm BRIDGED STABLE then you can hook up the + to the + on the amp for bridging and the - to the - on the amp for bridging. If it isn't 2 ohm bridged stable, then you have to hook the + to the + on one channel and the - to the - of the SAME channel. This will only give you 1/2 the power of the amp though.
