can you wire only one vc in a dvc sub

if two georgeaus identical twin sisters disrobe in front of you... are you only going to "use" one? NO!!! ofcourse not. like my example, you can use only one VC but with other one staring you in the face... why not use it. you wont be getting the most out of your sub if you use only one VC.

 
It is not reccomended to only use 1 coil of a DVC sub. The motor structure is designed to operate properly only when both coils are used. Using only one coil is forcing the woofer to operate in a mannor other than which it was designed to do. In some cases this will void a manufacturer warranty. Using 1 VC on a DVC model can lead to possible damage.
