BY PASSING THE HAND BRAKE

The hand brake just shows grond signal, so you could just hook up a toggle switch, one wire grounded, the other to your input wire,

BUT the parking brake wire actually switches polarity, from 12v+ to ground, your unit may actually be required to see this "switch", but the alpine, pioneer, and clarion flipout just need to see the ground input,

If your unit has a handbrake and a foot brake inputs, the footbrake input will need to see a 12v+ input, so you can hook this wire to the actual footbrake wire and then install the toggle on your hand brake wire, and while you riddin' down the road, just tap the foot brake while you flip the toggle to give the pan. unit the apporpriate inputs.
