BX 1000D vs. Tsunami DB1100

well i need a new amp and im looking at these two since i like their specs for the price. the amp will be run at 2ohm for now until i can get another m6. How do these amps compare in terms of true output (my electrical gets about 13.8v) and reliability? also ive found the hifonics for 240+ shipping and the tsunami for 220 + shipping, both with 1 year warranty which is important. Anywhere else to get these for cheaper? what other amps u suggest?

Personally I like the both amps... I was thinking about trading in my JBL 1200.1 for a pair of those dB1100D's or a Hifonics amp but then I realized I'd be underpowering my subs big time since they can only wire to a 2ohm load. About the only thing I like about my JBL is that it will give max power at 2 ohms.... that is the main downside to both the Hifonics and Tsunami IMO, but other than that htey are solid amps and at least they have a SSF built in.

yea id like to get a jbl but without the ssf i cant run them since im goin ported this weekend.

Ive got the tsunami DB1100, from what I can tell so far, its a great amp. Ill have it runnin a 15" Death Penalty soon so i could give you a better review on it in a week or 2

who you buy it from. I only see refurbed ones from a seller called winkasettie. Did you get yours new or refurb

Hes an authorised dealer, The refurbs are gonna work just as well as brand new, and if somethins wrong, its under warranty. I also saw someone on this forum is seling a used Tsunami db1100.
