Buying an Amp

I'm not ALL THAT familiar with RF's subs, but I'm thinking those are dvc 4's. You could probably get the 1000.2 to work. You would have to wire either a 6 ohm or 2.67 ohm configuration. Neither of which would be optimal for that amp. 2.67 would give you around 500 watts per sub, but would likely give you thermal problems and certainly would put a lot of stress on your amp. 6 ohms would cut your power output from about 1200 to 800-900. I'm sure it would sound okay, but you'd be getting no where near what those subs are capable of.

If you have fat bank, one bd1000.1 per sub would be ideal, but that would probably require electrical upgrades and all kinds of nasty stuff. If I were you. I'd start with one bd1500.1. With the 2.67 load you should get in the nieghborhood of 500rms per sub which should pound quite sufficiently.
