The civvy ammo can't pierce. The SS190 mil-spec bullets for the Fiveseven can, however.

Going to go through and read this thread, but i voted for Sig and i own a Springfield 1911 A1.. Great 45, but the sig .380, i believe it was the P230, felt so amazing and light enough kick to be accurate.. Both i listed i'd recommend though, never a problem with either one.

If you have a mossberg for home defence, depending on if you like going target shooting with the same gun you'd carry on your side, i'd definitely recommend taking a look at the .380 Sig.. Maybe its just because i'm small (5'3"), and they're frame size is perfect for me to be completely accurate, but if i could afford to get another one i would.. All i have now is the Springfield 45 for now, but mainly for defense since its not much fun to shoot

LE or military only, IIRC.

I'm sure as a security guard with a carry permit you'd probably be able to get ahold of it. Otherwise, you are left with the civ ammo, but it's still a good gun then. IIRC, it's got the stopping power of a .40S&W or .357 Sig, but with a higher velocity and more rounds in the mag.

I'd love to own one, I've shot one once, and that was a tester at the range. I'd LOVE to buy one, but they are pricey out there (like 800 for 2 magazines and case with the gun).

the xd is a little chunky, but still very nice, as well as the sig. personally, i voted for the taurus. i've had a few tauri and have had ZERO problems. the 24/7 feels AWESOME in my hand. so it comes down to personal comfort, imo. try them all and pick the one that just "feels right". u cant' go wrong with any of those.

Agreed. I like Sigs or the P99 for a carry gun, they just fit me right.
