bump in trunk

I have a Pioneer 6 disc changer mounted in my rear deck which is right above my dual 12" subs and I haven't had any skipping yet. But then again I don't crank it up to its limits that much at all. It could be your subs causing it. Is that the only time it skips.??

It is very possible and likely the cause. Although most Eclipse cd players are real good about skipping. Try using Dynamat, fatmat etc. This should take alot of the vibration out of the trunk panels.

It really shouldn't be skipping. Those things are made to be relatively skip proof but as was stated above, try some dynomat or move the CD changer somewhere else.

I have had the eclipse changer for almost 3 years and it has only "skiped" a few times. The time it was when I was listing to a song with alot of bass. I was mostley wondering if have the changer in the trunk with the subs was a problem. I also wonder if the tempature changes effect the performace. the truck of the car is frezzzing cold in the winter and boil'in hot in the summer. Over all the eclipse changer has performed flawlessly. It also could be the physical condition of the cd. Anyway thanks for you input.
