I'm wanting to put 4 HD 12's in the back. Is there enough air space inside the Bronco for that much thump? What's a strong enough amp, ( MEMPHIS ? )

there is more than enough airspace. put 2 subs in one box that way you pick up 3db and run2 amps about 500 watts rms each to the sub pairs.

Got it going ( Finally) Decided to go Bostwick after all. 4 HD 12's pushed by a Memphis 1000D, with a BATCAP 300 surge. I figure ( from comparing to my friends truck that pushed 140 dB's) that I'm getting at least 150 dB's out of it. Any one got any Ideas on how to get more?

Nice setup man! I have always wanted to install in an older Ford Bronco II. They come apart and go together very easily and there is a lot of room in those things for a small SUV...Do you have Dynamat in there? If not, that is a sure fire way to make your stereo louder and sound better. If ya get a chance to get the db checked, post it, I'm curious!

I have a bronco 2 as well. i have 2 mtx 6000 12" pushed by a small 50x2, but im about to upgrade to 2 fosgate HE2 12" and a crossfire 390 mono. im just wondering if u put 4 12's in just the back, or did u get rid of the backseat?

a dude who i know of has a bronco II also he has a 36 speker soundsystem in it 8 10" subs and a varity of other items. he has this b/c he is an installer.

are you keeping in mind how decibles work? lol.

3 dB's is equivalent to the volume DOUBLING so anyways, the best way to get mroe out of subs is to throw more power at em, toa point of course...

Im not sure what you mean by "Volume Doubling", but you can only get 3 more db's by doubling the amp power. Its hardly significant, however, if your competeing, then it matters.

waht i mean is 103 dB's is TWICE as loud as 100 db's...

143 dB's is TWICE as loud as 140 dB's....

for every three decibles, the volume DOUBLES.

so in essence 3 dB's is twice as loud as whatit is being compared too, not 'hardly noticeable'....

i was referring to the fact that it is VERY hard for even the most experoenced ears to estimate db's like he was trying to do...

he was saying that by his estimation, his system was 6 times louder than his friends...

so hes saying that it was more tahn 6 times as loud as his buddies truck..

people just go off saying oh ya, i caN hit 140, 150 not realizing that there is a ridiculous difference between teh 2 numbers...

3 dB's can be teh difference betwween the winner of a cmp and the second to alst place finisher....
