Brand of speakers...best sound quality

SO everyone says Alpine produces the best sound quality, but im not quite on an all Alpine budget. What are the best speakers for a moderate price. Im not talking crappy speakers, but something descent. OR is bottom of the line Alpine really the way to go? Im all about sound quality.

How much do you have to spend? Are these going to be ran off of an external amp, or off of the headunit? Do you want co-axials or components?

Alpine is good, I don't think I would call them "best" though.

There is no "best" brand out there. Your ears decide what sounds good and what doesn't.

A few names perhaps of highly regarded speakers that you cannot go wrong with - Focal, Rainbow, Image Dynamics, CDT, A/D/S, Boston Acoustics.....yada yada even their lower lines will be better than most of the Alpine stuff

crystals are very good for the money, as well as the alpine type R's, and focal polyglass.

Ill be selling my crystals very soon, and a profile amp to go along with it all for really cheap.

just do a sound adution with a couple of speaker that in your pricerange decide off that. what might sound good for one set of ears might not hold true for the next. there are too many compaines out there to say one is better than the other.

Pb chrome series comps. 69 dollars great full range 2 way comps. cant beat it for the price, i'de say it'd stack up better than alpine, they sound awesome when they're stand alone (no subs or speakers other than them)
