I picked up 2 12" clarions they call for 2.47 cubic feet each @ 32Hz, would this be a good box to use for them if i trimmed a bit off ?

Trimmed a bit off of what? You'd need to lengthen the port for the lower tune which will also take up some of the overall net size.

Trimmed? If anything, you'd need to add a bit more on to account for the speaker displacement. Even then, you wouldn't notice any difference.
