I think im going with a Hifonics BX1500D for my amp now im not sure what to do for sub/subs. Its going in a full size van and will sit right behing driver/pass seat. Now should i do a pair or single and what size/brand and ported or sealed box? Like topic says boom for the buck so nothing expensive.

I think it would be best if you were to go about this the opposite way.

IMO You should decide on the sub(s) first, and THEN worry about the amplifier.

I have a Hifonics BX1500D, but if my sub didn't require that much power, I would've definately went with a different amp.

BTW, I am very happy with my Hifonics. It handles 1ohm with ease.
