boat question

I came a cross a good deal on a boat. So im going to buy it. THe thing is im in upstate ny. It gets cold up here. I have to park the boat outside next to my house for the winter. What do you do to winterize a boat? If I can come up with some extra cash i'll put it a storage place. But until then.

depends on the boat but drain the gas, cover, add additives to the motor to prevent corrosion and or freezing. I would imagine a wood boat has different things than fiberglass boats that have to be done to prevent freeze cracks.

You can take your boat to a service shop and they will winterize it for you. The first time around it may be a good idea to do that so you can find out exactly what they do.
