Big 3 Contradiction?

i have 1800 watts, the big 3 and a brand new battery up front, and a h.o. alt. iyou will still get dimming from playing it loud. you need an extra battery in the back to keep from working your main battery too much. put you a battery in the back so it can take the beating from your system. you will not be happy when you drain your main battery and have to be jumped off!! 200 amps will not cut it. call dominick irragi at 1-615-287-7991 or 1-615-594-8965. thats where i got mine at and he will tell you exactly what he can do for you and what you need.

i heard mean green is a pretty shitty alternator, I wouldn't advise using them. Use stinger or something. I've heard even the great DOM has lots of problems with customers complaining they got tested and come up short in amperage. Even Ohio Generators. I had a problem with their bogus claims too and they know it and like to change stories.
Stinger is about the only alt and a couple others at most that I almost always see doing VERY WELL. Also go to Zena.net those guys do some SERIOUS good work. My dad uses one of their 300+amp Modular alts in his truck (not for stereos lol). I've bought some ezternal adjustable HEAVY DUTY voltage regulators from them for CHEAP, I mean ones that I would normally have to pay $180 for only cost me $100 from them
what did you hear about mean green alternators? u hear stories and advise people not to use them? just curious on what problems you've heard

Seeing how this thread is focused on alts I would like to ask a question if I may. I heard from someone (not sure if he is a reliable source or not) that if you use a smaller pulley to get more amperage at lower rpms and you do alot of highway driving it would shorten the life of your alt. Is this true?? Or is this BS?? Any input would be greatly appreciated. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Its very possible. The alt would alway be working harder with a smaller pully.
