hey rumptz those subs aint to bad but i recomend the rockford punch hx2 the are sweet as hell but if you want to waste some money go with the audiobahn
Agreed. Audiobahn does not have the best track record on the market. Seems as if they are becomming more show rather than go. Just remember chrome wont get you home.
The Fosgates would be an Excellent Canidate for your SPL setup. They are both well designed and durable for these applications.
With 4 HE2 15's in my old system I consistantly hit a 156.2 with a best of 164.3db. A lot louder than it seems.
The HE2's or HX2's are a good way to go.
For less cash, you could also try Cerwin Vega's Stealth 3 model. They are very responsive with modest power in prted enclosures.
Crutchfield has a special on these now too so they may be worth a look.
Hey, Audiobahn is the way to go. Yes they are a little more expensive, but dont go with any of their lower grade subs, I know this from experience. If you have the money get the bigger more powerful ones! The AW1208's are one of their best and handle more watts then you will ever need. I've been with Audiobahn for awhile and all my friends love Fosgate, and I will put 2 AW1208's against any of Fosgates subs, old or new! You can find them on ebay now for about $189, thats less than half what you will pay for retail.
Ive been going to competitions with all of them and I usually win in the 2 12" class. Plus audiobahn is probably the best in sound Quality. Especially if u get there Alums or their monster size AWT12X subs. Look at their website and see all of the awards Team Audiobahn has won! But the most important thing is to just try what you want not what everybody else tells you to.
Yo, in my Denali(yes i am spoiled by my parents), i put 4 15" Kickers, they hit hard as hell. they are pretty expensive but if you are looking for competition bass thats the way i would go.
i won a couple competitions with this system but the entire deal ran about 5k+ but you know what, i don't care cause my parents paid for it hahahaa
a man my brother got some audiobahns that are something SERIOUS! im not new to car audio so i know good when i hear it! yes rockfords are nice but audiobahn is a newer company that can do some DAMAGE! i highly reccomend the higher end of audiobahn. even the alums are tight. hope this helped
hey i dont know if those speakers are good, but you should get mtx4000 (i just gotfor my b-day)or you should go with cerwin vega, all my friend tell me that there the bomb well se ya
man around here i can get a 2200 amp for 4 bills flat and 6 alumnos for 7 bills. i have 2 2200 and 6 bahns i'm around .75 ohms i also have 4 capacitors. i had fosgate but it didn't do anything for me so i drop it like a bad habit go with bahn. i get my stuff from a flea market like place traders village in houston texas look around for a place like this. but make sure its not refurbished.
this is a verry opinionated topic, ive had many differant subs... mtx, rf,pioneer (not recomended) and kicker. the best ive ever heard wer my 2 15" kicker l7's and they are being verry underpowered right now which i will change here soon. the best sq/spl setup ive had was my 2 12" rf hx2's which are good subs. when ever people tell you they had bad expereances with certain subs, dont listen to them. its all install.
lets start over with some questions
what kind of car do yo have?
how much trunk space do you have?
how much do you want to spend on an amp?
the box and ammount of power are your main concern. having said all of that and from all of my expereances (which shouldent matter to you) i would pick the rf hx2. ive neaver heard the audiobahn but the ammount of chrom and lack of price is kinda suspicious.
i have 2 power hx2 and i am powering them with a fr bd1500 and it has costed me like 1300 for the setup and i havent heard a better system with just 2 subs and the subs run a lil over 1000wats a piece
