Best for spl...?

Ok, here is the deal. I want to know what the best sub for spl is. i dont care about SQ. i am willing to spend around 1000 dollars just for the sub/subs.

Here is what i was thinking.

1 18" SoloX

1 5000 watt EarthQuake "Destroyer" amp.

The "max" RMS ( this is how kicker words it anyway) is 5000 watts. The RMS on the amp is also 5000 watts. This looks good to me, but i want some input.

Dont know any other subs that would be as loud. Lol hope u have enough horsepower to get ur car to move that sub weighs like 100 pounds!

If you just want SPL try looking into Digital Designs, they have some of the best SPL woofers out there.

lol, yea i know. i saw one at my local shop and fell in love with it, and it was only a twelve. i was wonering if anyone had any opinoins about the amp.

For sick SPL check out Incriminator Audio. There Death Penilty series are one of the best SPL subs out there, IMO. They are way way way underrated!!! They can take 16000w RMS blurps at comps. I'm not much of an expert but 16,000w one one sub is just plain insane!!!! Deffinetly check them out. I feel once they get better know they are going to be one of the best subs out there but once again that is my opinion.

PS... They are making an 18" so if you really wanted an SPL beast I'd wait for it to come out and get it. 18" DP that is going to be so sick....:-D
