I need to buy a good inexpensive digi camera for many reasons //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif , does best buy sell anything worth buying or no? .. All im looking for is a good can that s like 3-4 megapixels that i can use to transfer pics to my computer, and i was wondering what is the best camera to look at? canon? sony? HP?

The Canons probably give you the most features for the money.

The picture quality on the Powershot cams are awesome.

as a kits camera sales associate id reccomend a bottom line nikon camera such as the coolpix 5600

we sell em for only 200 bucks and its 5 megapixels with great pic quality

whoever suggested the d50 must be out of his mind cuz thats just way too much camera for a guy whos only looking for something extremely basic and i doubt he'd go digital slr to even have to worry about the interchangable lenses

for best pics of camera and reviews, go to this website and check that forum.

Most of review are postive and they usually don't have too much negative, guessing sponsors, but it is really best website for searching camera review, info and pics of camera hardware. good luck.

It all boils down to wheather you want slim shirt pocket size, or medium body size, or big size camera with 10-12x optical.

Also if you want compact size, then look at Ultra Compact - Pocketable under best camera section on left side.

whatever you do, don't buy sony cameras, they break down all the time. Seems whatever sony makes, its guarantee to break down later.

I have seen this model and its put in pocket style, almost like credit card style, check it out, only problem is battery usage with lcd 2.5" on.

nikon cool pix. only the real major differences between the models in that line is the lcd on the back. my girl just bought one because it was the best for quality, size, and price.

These camera's mentioned above are all girlie man cameras. Venture into the realm of Digital SLRs and only then, will you be a real man. PM Photocrazy here on the forums for more details on which SLR fits your needs.

Now I know the battle will go from point and shoot to SLR, but personally I would say go with an SLR. I would say its like buying a low end amp and thinking of upgrading later. Your not going to get anywhere near full price out of the amp later on and then your out some money for less quality. I'd rather wait to buy higher quality for a few weeks than listen to a crappy amp for a couple months *shrug*

Look for a canon 350D on ebay and you could get a good deal with a lense. Now having owned the 350D, the Rebel XT and the Rebel 20D I would say for starting the XT would be best as its light and easy to use. BUT, cost being a factor the 350D is inexpensive for what it does. It may not be 200 dollars, but save a little more and pick up a good camera.

Well I have 3 digital camera's. I know right. I have expensive Sony cybershot that is 5megapixels and cost an arm and a leg. Was and still is the best camera I have ever owned. Thing is they had a recall on them and I just sent it back because it kept shutting off on me. I then have two Kodak camera's. One is the cd33 and other is the cd35. I had two people at christmas buy me them this past christmas because I have a huge family. One is 3.1mp and the other is 3.1 but has more features. Also came with that printer dock. Pretty cool overall. I would recommend those for a good cheap camera. Think they paid 150 for one and the other was over 200 because of the printer dock. Good luck.

I guess I could be proof, lol! Had mine break down, but it did last a good 2 years before it happened. I did get to send it back since they had a recall on them that I never knew before hand. Well they said send it here and I did and should be here with in the next couple weeks.
