well i went to best buy today and was messing around in the car section.on display was a alpine 9883 and i was fixin the settings cause some dumbass fvcked everything up.
so the manage of that section comes up and goes
"you need help with anything??" said it nicely
so im like nope just lookin,
so he walks away.
now i must say for best buy they had a nice selection of alpine and rockfos stuff.
i went over to the 4channel and noticed both pass settings were on low pass so i slowly mumbled.
what the fvck? and i guess the guy heard me and goes whats wrong?
i was like whoever setup the amp did a crappy job with the tuning.
so he was like what do you mean.
so i was like you cant have the components and co-axils running on lowpass. you get no highs.
so he is like orly?
and i moved the switch too high pass and is like, holy shit your right.
he goes, so you know alot about car audio?
i was like not alot but enough to know how to install and tune and set the settings and shit.
so he says well if you need anything just ask. and walks away.
so my mom comes over and as he is walking back he sees me talking to her and goes " is this your son?, he knows quite a bit about the car audio stuff"
my moms like " yea he has been messing around with stereos and that kind off stuff for a couple years now.
so she asks how old you have to be and the guys says 16-17.
so then she asks about hours cause im still in school and he goes we can pretty much make any shifts.
so i asked you know what do i have to do to work in the caraudio section.
he is like first you have to go to a course to be mecp certified to do installs.
then you can pretty much do anything with the caraudio section.
if you dont get the mecp you can switch out and setup all the equipment on the switch boards and do sales and stocks.
so i was like whats the usual starting wage. he goes around 8.50 an hour.
so i was like is there an application or is it online?
he says go online and then fill out the application with the section you want to work in and we will call if you get accepted.
so i was like well if i do get accepted could i just work the floor and do the equipment swaps and stuff like that? cause im not really interested in installs.
he goes sure, as long as there is someone willing to do it you can do whatever in the area your assigned too.
and he goes usually when your changing all the equipment you get payed a little bit more.
and then he goes " and the discounts are pretty good on the stuff too. you can get up to 35% off."
so should i fill out an application?
