best buy.

Why not? Enjoy the experience, have some fun, I know the installers here shouldn't be installing anything, we took my uncles hyundai tiburon to get a head unit changed and It was free install with purchase so we were all, why not, hah, the dude called us back and said that the double din wouldn't lock in. I said read the package, it tells you to cut two tabs off for this model vehicle. I wont have anything installed there. Except maybe an alarm.

yea im probably going to fill out an app today.

only thing im worried about is getting to the store on time.

cause i go to school in manhasset and 3 days out of the week my dad is in manhattan for work

and my mom doesnt like to bring me home too often cause she says the boss's might complain.

and then if i cant get a ride it is almost 3 hours before i can get home by taking the buses.

and idk about you but i actually would buy mot of the stuff i saw there.

they actually carried the decent lines of alpine and rockfos.

ill update it by tommorrow and tell you guys what i end up doing.

half of you probably wont care lol.

and can you believe i saw a rockfos 4 gauge wiring kit for 110!!!!!!!!!!

dont they go for like 70 on sonic or ebay?

and as far as the mecp training thing. they said the shop they usually send people too casts like 150 for the class but because they have a contract o someshit with the shop to get the employees trained and certified it only costs like 75

8.50 to hear high school kids talk about how there JBL subs sound better and they are in a bandpass box with a HUGE 500 watt amp

no no no.

i know what is good and what is bad.

that is the problem. most people that hear that highschool kids have a setup, they always assume they are gonna say they have the best stuff.

i picked out some pretty good ish for some of my friends.

my friend pete has a solara. he has 2 type r's off of a kicker 850.2.

i installed most of it and tuned it.

my friend phil wanted something od loud. but he could only spend 600.

and he wanted 2 12's off of like 3500w plus a headunit. lol i gave up on that.

i think what he meant was that YOU'LL be the one having to listen to kids who dont know what they're talking about tell you about how badass their system is. you will, it sucks.

honestly i hated working at circuit city the entire time i was there, but that was mostly because i was 24 at the time and felt like i should be doing something more with myself. i was an installer but if i had nothing to do and the floor person went to lunch or something, i had to cover the floor. i HATED that.

although i had been installing stereos on my own and for friends for 8-9 years, and had been a regular poster/reader of this and a couple other forums for years, i still learned quite a bit in the install bay there. i can't see you learning much on the sales floor aside from scripted sales pitches about how Alpine is the ultimate in sound quality and Fosgate will beat down harder than anything. spend as much time back in the install bay as you can, although they'll probably try to make an installer out of you. it can be a headache sometimes for sure, but it was mostly easy, better money and it just makes the time go by faster when you're installing than when you're trying to sell low quality (for the most part) big store audio to joe blow schmucks.

You should apply. It beats pushing a mower around in 100 degrees.

On a side note, I was in BB a few weeks ago, and the guy asks if he can go out to my van and check it out, to make sure it was set up right as far as settings, Bass, treble. balance.

I think its a new sales thing. And He probly thought I had a stock set up, I refused, But I think it would be funny for them to come out and look, then walk away.

Hail yea, do it. Would be nice to walk into BB and not have to hear "Yea man, my 6x9's have sick bass".
I like going into BB and CC with my Alpine remote control. Freaks them the hell out when no one is there playing with shit and the voulume goes up to 30.
lol, thats pretty immature...i have to try it.

since an alarm is the easiest 12v accessory to install right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
