I need brought back up to speed on a few things to say the least
So picked up a former SEMA show car my buddy had, back in the day it did have a stereo and what looks like liquid sound deadener (hard to tell its peeling and flaking).
So step one right now while I have the car gutted is sound deadening the entire car so make it quiet, and make the stereo sound good. The last stereo work I did I used raamat bxt, I liked the product but I keep seeing people talk about rattle trap and gtmat and a few others. Back when I was into stereo's 'sound deadener showdown' was a thing but seems thats no longer a thing
So whats the 'good stuff' people are using now a days to keep their cars quiet? Any thoughts on the rattle trap or gtmat or raamat? If I trusted myself and knew how to properly do it I'd try a liquid product to keep the weight down, but I am clueless so I'd rather not waste a ton of material.
My goals are to get the car done for around 350 or less (its a 1995 acura legend coupe) it should be around 175-200sq ft I'm shooting for 1 layer on the entire car from roof to doors to floor and trunk. Maybe doubling up on floor and trunk.
