i was also lookin at this bandpass enclosure for my punch hx2s. would it sound better than three in a sealed box? help me out here im confused.

Sound better? I doubt it. Sound louder around the runing frequency of the enclosure yes. But if you want loud with better clarity check out a ported box. Also while your at it check out the http://www.speakerhole.com they have pretty good prices on boxes.

Dude, at the end of the day, bandpass enclosures can provide more SPL/Db over a sealed enclosure with the same drivers, amps, etc. But bandpass enclosure offer limited cone control, they are stressfull on speaker joints and suspension and offer limited abbility to hear distorsion. Plus they are limited by tuning to produce on note REALLY high, the rest hang out else where.

If you have the space and if your drivers are 10 inch or above id recommend a sealed enclosure or maybe slot or tube ported.

basically, bandpass enclosures are a wild card, dont use one unless you REALLY have to oor REALLY want to!
