i need help thanks

What brand brand is the EQ? How old is it? Try moving the band slides all the way down one at a time. Does the hissing only seem to be comming from one of the slides? An EQ enhances frequencies which can also boost a hissing noise. I have the same problem with an EQ pedal for my guitar. I have found that upgrading the signal wiring to high quality wire helps reduce the hissing sound. Otherwise I just had to turn down the slide a little bit that was causing the hissing and adjust the rest of the EQ to compensate.
