Allright i work in West Edmonton Mall and there is a car audio place across the hallway from my work that sells audiobahn

lets put it this way, They sound "like a 150 dB fart" lol.

great SPL, but not exactly the cleanest sounding lol.

I love MY RF's, and i think they do a better job alla round than the Audiobahns

If this is what you are interested in, I highly suggest you take your actions off of this board. If you have a difference in opinion, thats fine. They are both good subs........end of story. Who cares who can beat who, you bought your system for your liking and not anyone elses. Unless somebody is on here trying to brag about pyramid, then it is just a matter of opinion. All of you seem to be knowledgable about car audio, everybody has their own specific area, in which they are better than the other. When your comparing quality subs, it is either a good SPL sub, a good SQ sub, or a little of both. The rest is all opinion.

I disagree. If someone talks crap about what you have, you take up for it. Your system is part of you. I have spent countless hours trying to perfect it and I don't appreciate when someone who has never had it automattically asumes that because the subs are cheaper than others, then they are not capable of hitting higher dbs. There is nothing more fun than having a friendly debate with a fellow car audio enthusiast who also knows a lot about car audio. I'm sure jlman enjoyed his debate with me also. In our debate, we never cussed each other (using severe cussing) or put each others system down. We both respected what each other had and then it was a classic debate of who had the better system. As for the remarks made by MR_LOWRIDER, i feel the same as zane on this one. I also agree with wonderbread about Audiobahn not having the best sq. I have made up with the lacking sq by adding 2 pairs of Infinity Kappa Speakers. Well thats all for now, my ffingers are getting tired from typing.

ok, i just read that somebody had one sub... hitting for 151dbs.... now.. i don't know about you guys, but that sounds a little far fetched! I say that because,

i saw a mazda mpv with 3 10w3's and 3 12w3's and it measured at 146db

.. now tell me how the hell you could get 150 from one sub??? let me in on the secret!

you take a higher end sub and put it in a large enclosure and power it with 1000-6000+rms and thats how one sub hits high db's.15 and 18" single subs would prolly get to 150db's easier than one 12" sub.It will prolly be hard for me to hit 150db's but I will be happy if i get in the 140's.As far as jl man goes i don't have to disrespect your country you live in because you think you know it all.I have nobody 2 back my shit up i guess so i will do it myself.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

hey quick question. I'm gonna get 2 punch HX2's, with a jbl 1200.1 amp, i was told that if i put them in a ported box they'd hit around 150 db's, is that true??

big-cat: with the right box, electrical system, and install its possible. but it will be quite hard. if ur intent on hitting 150, try giving those subs the full 600 watts per channel that amp puts out. having said that, ur gonna need to 2 ohm dvc models of those subs. just make sure the power u give it is clean power or else your gonna need to go buy urself some new subs. the ported box will be ur best bet to try and get up to the 150's. make it a big one, u should have more than enough room in ur rav4.

with the perfect encloser and one hell of a sub and a lot of power it can be done . One 15" DD hit a 170.1

I'll agree with you that you have to stick up for your system. Your 139 db's speak for itself. What more can you really say, 139 db's in a truck from 2-10's. Who cares if someone else doesn't like it. Your the only one that has to like it, and if you like it, then you think it's the best hands down.

You want the secret! I saw a 15" Kicker L7 hit a 152.6 at a comp today. The enclosure they had specially made cost around $1200. The 2 JLW6's I installed in my buddys car hit a 147.8. By the way Zane, the 350-375 watts I thought I had going to those JL's apiece, was actually 439 watts. A guy at the comp measured it for me. Still doesn't compare to your W0's, but hey thats 139 over thier recommendation, and I'm sure I could have poured some more into them, if only he had a second amp.
