I'm TSing the girl's little brothers 4-wheeler. It is a 50cc Polaris Scrambler.

The inital issue was running for 100 feet or so then dieing. I solved this by reconnecting a crank case vacume hose, fuel return line, and adjusting the choke.

Now it will run all day long but only at half throttle as if it where starveing for fuel. If you try and go full throttle once warmed up it will die. Any ideas of that to TS next? It isnt the intake as I have it removed. Exaust spark arrestor maybe? Clogged fuel filter? It will run wide open after you get her started but then after it gets good and warm it will start smokeing and only runing at 1/2 throttle.

if you did any intake/exhaust mods, and didnt properly rejet it, that could very well be the problem

edit: i think its the pilot screw that controls how much fuel goes iin after 1/2 throttle, check it out (prolly is too low)

It's a 50cc Kid ATV...lol

Other than take the Air box off to get to the carb there is nothing changed to the intake/exaust.

That's what was happened before (choke on) but it will keep running if you dont go full throttle and it will start right up if you do let it die.

take the carb off and check the float in it.. make sure its not sticking and the springs..

it shouldnt be but just a couple screws.. nothing hard at all. And if you have to buy a new float i believe there no more than a few $$

it shouldnt be that hard to take the carb off, wasnt on my last 2 bikes

The throttle cables on it are a PITA and one of the screws is stripped from the last owner who was a dumbass. I'll be looking for a high speed needle tomarrow. If I cant find it geuss I'll dig into the carb.
