ATTN: Laptop peoples

Whoa there, buddy ... I never said they COULDN'T game or run games well ...
The reason why you SHOULD get a desktop if you're looking for a gaming computer is because it's significantly cheaper to build and upgrade, you have a much wider variety of parts available, and it will generally be more reliable (more space, more airflow ... assuming you know WTF you're doing, of course).

Yes, if you're the type that LANs a lot, then a gaming laptop may be worth the extra cost, but for most people who game, they would be better off w/ a gaming desktop and a basic laptop which they could get for less money than the gaming laptop itself ...
lol... sorry my sarcasm gets the best of me at times... Yes I agree and that's why I have desktop systems as well, but... I rather enjoy the laptop much more often than the desktop these days.

vista sucks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif crashes my computer, switching back to XP!
You have to be mentally capable of operating a computer to handle using the new OS... wait about another 5yrs and you might be able to grasp the concept of operating a computer

Say what you want but it sure doesnt like to run AutoCAD!
I vote Dell btw.....
Wow... autoCAD 2008 works w/ Vista... and is even suppoted as such... again wait another 5yrs and u can be a bit more updated tho

I'll be upgrading to either 3 or 4gig ram. I originally was going to go with a 7200rpm drive, but for the upgrade price, I figured I'll stick with the 5400rpm, and if I feel the need to upgrade, I can do so down the road.
