Assistance w/ Custom Fiberglassing!

Alright, So im looking to get a fiberglass enclosure for a 03 Ford Escape.

I really like the look of the one on mtx's website but i dont know how the quality will be.

here's what the enclosure looks like:

I have read a little about fiberglassing but i have pretty much no materials (or machinery to cut mdf) so it seems like it would be pretty expensive to do it myself. The lowest price i could find if i bought the enclosure above is $200 w/the sub (which im just going to replace so that doesnt really matter). Thats also not counting shipping.

One of the advantages of making it myself would be that i could make it with a larger depth since it appears that their isn't much depth the the mtx one. I was going to solve that w/the mtx one by getting an mdf sub ring about an inch deep so i could fit a better sub.

Someone might be able to do it for you locally. The mtx is a pos in my opinion. So keep searching around your area for someone that can do it.

The box or the sub? I know the sub isn't supposed to be good which is why i would be replacing that but is the thunderform enclosure any good?

they both are very weak. The enclosure flex's a lot and its not really worth the money. For that amount you could have a really nice enclosure made or make one yourself if you are capable.
