Are These Subs Any good, PLZ Help Quick

I know a guy that has 2 12' pyrimid hyperpro subs model #: PW1286. 90 oz. Magnets, 1,000 Watts each for 50 bucks i am thinking about buying them but don't know much about subs and stuff...so tell me if this is a good bargen and how they hold up and how hard they hit Etc.
