anyone know about adire

I wouldn't day that. Dan Wiggins is the man. Steven is just A man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

So, you could say, You've heard it from Steven. A man.

But a man that works for Adire tends to be better than a man that works for Joe's Waffles and Beef.

A couple of our dealers are http://www.sound-foundations.com and http://www.visionaryaudio.com . Both are owned by friends of mine, and will treat you right.
As for how good we are, I liked them so much I decided to work there.

I have to agree. Dan is totally The Man. I'm just a poor schmuck with a cool job. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

Powerhandling is enclosure dependant. If you go with a large enclosure, you won't need as much power. Let me know what you are looking for (as loud as possible, or sound good as well), and I can give you a recomendation.

I was looking at a bunch of budged blaster subs, and was thinking about the shiva 12 also.. I have about 2.5 cubes to work with, and 500w at 4 ohms. For the price of the shivas i might be able to get 2 of them for the price of some of the others i'm looking at, but i haven't looked into the shiva recently (in a year or so) have they changed at all, my amp will work at 2.5-3 ohms, but not much lower. I can't remembe the impedences of the shivas off the top of my head, but i'll look at your website to get some more info.

Just figured i'd take advantage of your experience with your products //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Dude, you are in Medford Oregon? I just moved from there about 2 and a half months ago. What I recomend you doing is go down to Pacific Stereo, and ask for an installer named Delmar. I used to work with him, and he is now an Adire dealer. He really knows his stuff, and should be able to get you what you need.

As for your question, the most you need with a Shiva is 400 watts. For what you are doing, I recomend going ported. In fact if you can swing it, I recomend going with a Tempest ported.

The Shiva's have changed a little bit cosmetically, and are now a little more robust. But as Dan has said before, you can take a Mark I Shiva, and drop in a Mark IV Shiva and get the same results. The parameters haven't changed.

2 Shiva's would work great in a 2.5 cubic foot enclosure. They use dual 8 ohm voice coils.

And please feel free to ask any questions you want. my e-mail address is skephart@adireaudio.com . Or you can ask on the forums. There are many people here that can help you as well.
