any UNCC students???

I applied and got in, though I had no real interest in going there...I go to East Carolina.
I had a 3.76 and a 1330 on the SAT.
Well if they have to be that good then i have no chance at all..ANybody else that has some that werent quite as good?

The kid I know that got in had a 3.1 and like a 1050-11xx on the SAT. It helps if you have a family member that went there as well.

My dad went to get his 2 year fire science degree, you think that will help much? How much does a family member help usually? And how much emphasis do they put on things like extra curricular activites(sports, comunity service, etc) when they look at your application?

And do they look at weighted or unweighted GPA?

Having a parent that goes to that school helps worlds. My best friend at ECU got in with a 2.7 GPA and a 1050 on the SAT because both of his parents and his brother went to college there.

Community Service...I didn't really have any...sports, 4 years of baseball. I don't think that that is very important...its probably used as a tiebreaker type of thing.

What do your grades and SAT scores look like?

I still can't used to these new scores //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I got an 1210, and I was happy with that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

You can get into UNCC.

Well SAT is 1610(out of 2400 on the new one, 1500 is average)
And my unweighted GPA is about 2.6 and weighted is about 2.9
You'll probably be borderline...your dad going there should put you over the top.

You'd probably get in to ECU, lol.

Was that a 1210 on the new one or old, just wondering? And why do you say that i can get in, just based on grades?

I looked into ECU but decided i dont want to move that far away...might still be an option though
Thats understandable. If you ever want to take a look around campus, lemme know. If your into a very social college environment, ECU is the place.
