I am running 6 gigs and i do all that chit now...lol

also my media hub (movies,music,pr0n,and all that good stuff) is a 1.8ghz Pentium 4,1gb of ram,nvidia fx 5500,and multiple HDD's and i can stream,transfer,and do back ups OTA with out one problem at all.

Also i forget...isn't the i7 920 the 6 core one with the HT?...windows sees it as 12 cores...insane

Didnt bother reading the whole thread, but I have an i5 650 at 4.3ghz on a Gigabyte H55M-UD2H with 8gb of cheap DDr3. 1tb WD Caviar Black drive, Logitech Z5500 Speakers, Logitech G5 mouse, XFX HD4870(old but it works for what I do...)

Basically I traded my old i7 930 rig which was basically bottom end i7 for this rig and $400. I feel I made out better on the deal, since this computer clocks better and although its a dual core, it meets my needs fine.

Heh, guess I just wanted to blow money then. I think I'll need it but maybe you're right and I won't. For 35 bucks I'd rather have it just in case. The 920 should still be a quad core if I remember correctly.

How many HD's you got in the Pentium 4? I've got an older dell P4 at 3.4ghz with I think 2gigs of RAM (that RAM is more expensive than the newer DDR3 oddly enough) that I might throw some HD's in to have as a secondary media server.

920 was never 6 physical cores. It is 4 physical cores, but has hyperthreading, which basically doubles the physical cores to 8 logical cores(I think...)

Logitech G13 gaming pad (I have big hands...and laptop keyboards are too small for me to game with...but i'd recommend it to anyone who games or photoshops

Mouse:R.A.T 7

haha no I just wanted eyefinity but now after gaming on 3 monitors I kind of want to sell these and just get 2 27-28" monitors.

By the way, I could be wrong but I think he was talking about the speakers, not the screens.

This mouse is insane...can be tailored to ANYBODY's needs and hand size...plus on the fly dpi changing and precision lock is pretty dope. when you hold down the precision lock button the DPI cuts in half so its easier to line up a headshot/or photoshop..and as soon as you let go of the button...dpi goes back to whatever it is you set it on.
