Hey,

I have 2 panasonic 6x9's in boxes in the back of my car. Now after playing for about 1hr they start to get all distorted. Any ideas how to prevent this? Someone told me I could try adding an amp for those 2 speakers.

Sorry I don't have the specs on the speakers.

Now first thing you have to find out is, is the noise the speakers themselves or whats being pumped to them? If the voice coil on the speakers cant disapate the heat, then they will over heat and cause distortion. I would say that an amp would help, if the problem is the head unit and powering the speakers. Thats what i can tell from here, hard to tell not being there. Take it easy
