Amplifier for a pickup

Hey guys, I got a 2001 Sonoma Crew Cab and I'm upgrading my system step by step as my money comes in. I started it off with a Sony XPlod Headunit (which turned out great, I absolutely love it, got the MP3 feature and all). Then I tossed in six Bostons and tweeters which give off some kickass bass for just being speakers. Anyway, next step is the subs. And the first step to getting there is getting me an amp. My problem is the lack of room in my truck.

Now, for all you truck drivers here, where would be the best. I could put it behind my seat, but that would make for a pretty small sub. Then, I could put an amp behind the seat and the sub elsewhere. Any of ya'll have suggestions? And any idea of what brand amp would be best with my Sony Xplod.

first, i'd see if their is a q custom box for under the rear seat.

if not, you might have to take the back seat out for room for the subs and you might as well put the amp in the sub enclosure.

i've seen a custom 1 before in rear cab

it had 3 compartments

1. sub on left side

2. center space for amp

3. sub on right side.

i might consider thinking of 2 compartments for more dB:

1. sub on left side

2. sub on right side

3. put in closing wall on long side near front of cabin

4. have short sides 4 or 5 inches longer.

5. mount amp on closing wall near passengers

6. have this wall plexiglass and mount neon rod above an xtant x1001; 1000w x1 at 2 ohm or 500w x 1 at 4 ohm; then the neon rod would reflect off chrome chassis of amp
