i'm lookin to buy a jl 12w3v2 from onlinecarstereo.com (how are they?) andd im not sure of the best amp for it. a few people have said phoenix gold but id like to see some other audio-geeks opinions...
if its a 12w3v2d2, then you can use a us-acoustic 4150. Its 450rms@4 ohms i believe. They aren't very expensive and they come with a 3 yr warranty. It is PLENTY of power for a single 12. IT WILL BLOW IT IF YOU ARE DUMB WITH THE GAINS. I sold a setup exactly like that to a friend and the sub was toast in about three months. ( I ran it for around 4) He gained it all the way up (since he "knew" what he was doing and it was HIS stuff.) and slammed it nonstop. That said, i think us-acoustic amps are very effecient, clean and easy on the budget.
f150_on_32s...............I'm about to install a system in my 03 F150 FX4. Never hooked one up this serious before..talkin bout, dynamat,
CDT braxials, JL Audio in stealth box, Alpine h/u, good wires, etc. Do you know of any good links or tech manuals to help with removal of panels, seats, carpeting?
