Amp problem ... Not putting out same power as before

Hye guys. My buddies amp is a sony 1600p5,the 900x1 rms @ 2 ohm (14.4v) and its not pushing as hard as it was before when he got it. He had his gains set all the way and his LPF to the lowest, 50. his 40hz was all the way up. I don't know why its not as loud as it was before. I said to not put his gains up all the way but w/e.Could it have blown something? It still plays fine, jsut not with as much kick.

btw, its pushing 2 kicker comp vr 12's.
