i had posted over on ssaudio without much luck. i was just wondering who on here has either heard or ran alumapro subwoofers before and what their thoughts were. btw, i compete in sq. thanks.

I ran Alchemy's for a while ... actually before my Shiva's - about two months or so.

I liked them. Clean, accurate, tight, smooth. They'd be a decent choice if you compete, in my opinion ... but of course it'll depend on all of the other factors.

I'd also check out the MB Quart Premium (PWE) series drivers. I like what I heard, and keep hearing good things about them.

I ran the alchemy for about 2 years. It's tight and very clean, but if you want the real low bass you're gonna have to make the box bigger than what they reccommend.
