Alpine S-A55V Solid Red, NO FIX!!

Hi,

I have the Alpine S-A55V amp, I currently run two 10s (one unit) from the sub channel, and two JBL kicks for CH3 and CH4, CH1 and CH2 aren’t being used currently, my power and ground wires go straight to the battery, are 4 gauge, have a fuse for power, and when everything is working, it works GREAT, loud and sounds GOOD.

Whenever I turn the volume really high, it’s loud, but not like the craziest thing you’ve heard, the amps light turns from blue to SOLID red, not blinking red, (would mean temp too high), then when I reboot the car immediately turns back on fine until you turn it up loud again and it goes solid red and shuts the amp off. It NEVER did this before, I checked all my wiring man, I don’t get it. I tried to fix the gain, turned it down so much, it’s just too loud, but that can’t be the throttle? Or is it? Is a wire STILL messed up?

You didn't list the sub make and model or what the wired load to the amplifier is.

It sounds like you're overdriving the amp.
