Ive found a good deal on an amp that is about six years old, the Alpine 3550, which is a four channel amp. I was wondering if anyone knew the rms wattage, or how to find out, and I was wondering if anyone had any comments on this amp. Thanks for any help you could give.

Is it the 3550 or is it a 3555? If it's the 3555 it's rated at about 50wrms into each of the 4channels, I believe it actually did about 60-65wrms though. I had one in my Monte Carlo running in 3channel mode running the entire system and it was very strong and sturdy..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

According to the auction its the 3550. Maybe its misprinted? thanks for the info. I was considering running a component set and two pioneer 6X8s with it.

Is it an e-bay auction? Tell me were it's at and I can look at the picture if there is one posted and tell you what it is. It will power the speakers you have just fine also.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Looks like the 3555, but all the models built that year looked the same, to be on the safe side send the saler and email..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have a 10 year old Alpine 3527S that has been in 5 different cars...

never had a problem, it used to run Boston Pro Series 5.25's and a Cobalt 10" sub...

and did a good job...

very reliable line of Alpine amps, and very underrated.

Does anyone have a manual, or know where on line I can find one for the 3550, also on the power connector it say battery, remote, ground, I have no plug and the connections aren't labeled. Can anyone tell me which hole is which. I don't want to screw the amp up.
