Ahh.. Ecoustics.. the pinnicle of car audio knowledge

2) I am teaching myself Japanese. I do understand the frustrations of communication. I purchased a dictionary to assist. My grammer may be flawed, but my syntax is pretty impeccable.

Why, of all languages, did you choose Japanese? I ask merely for personal reasons, as my dad used to be able to speak it quite well some time ago, I've tended to find it interesting as well.. However, I would have thought Chinese to be a more logical choice, it seems to be more and more prevalent in the world today. Just curious is all!

Because it's a business oriented language. Just because more people speak Chinese, Japan has the world's second largest economy. I want to bad to be a premier businessperson. I don't have the connects, so I try to put myself in the best possible situation if the opportunity ever arises.

Interesting. I assume you've taken into account that China's economy has been rising quite rapidly, and could be in the same position as Japan in the near future?

Aw man, I just totally derailed the thread didn't I? Sorry.

Someone, somewheres a ***! So UH!

Indeed. But from my readings, the Chinese are more willing to "play" the game with Americans. Whereas the Japanese have cultural norms which you must follow. I am not dissing the Chinese at all, but they seem to accept liasons, whereas the Japenese tend to think highly of those who try to learn/accept/respect their culture.

Thats true, although maybe a bit of a blanket statement. *In general* Chinese nationals are more accommodating in regards to getting the deal done. They just want the money.

Japanese however, follow their own code of ethics (one could even liken it to a code of honor, given Japans feudal history). Japan is currently in a position to be able to get away with that. How those two cultures will play out is anybodies guess! Oriental studies has been an on/off hobby of mine for years....more off than on lately to be honest, day to day life has been getting in the way far too often it seems. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Right right. Go with what ya got, its not exactly easy to go over there and live in it. Most people I know of don't have the financial means to just pick up and travel to a country halfway around the globe. We do what we can with what we have! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
