My skoda fabia mk2 has no steering wheel controls built in so i bought this unit (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0999WP1JL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) to add the function.

I've connected it all up, i have the correct wiring loom that also includes the connects2 steering wheel adapter, to my pioneer sph-250dab. When using the controls, they do work, the buttons are all wrong. I've looked into it and it seems i need to reconfigure them. I can't see how to do it on my head unit though. Please tell me there's a way to do this or, if not, a steering wheel control system that i could purchase instead that would work with my car and stereo?

Signal flow should be HU to DSP to amps. You would lose the ability to EQ and time align the sub with the DSP unit if you bypassed the DSP.
