Check out my website and look at he pics on the first page....its 2 boxes in one, connected by 1 internal port..all 3 ports are the same size....the first box is 1/3 the total area of the box,...now, The design of an ABC box allows the sub to use both chambers
(combined) on the low notes, and bass eminates from bothe ports....when the sub tries to play upper bass frequencies, they will only eminate from the smaller chamber, and 1 port ( port in smaller chamber).......its the 3rd port that is responsible for controlling the pressure in each chamber ( depending on frequency)......so again, on the LOW'S, BASS POUND's from the entire enclosure (both chambers and both ports )....on the upper bass notes, it is very tight and clean sounding because its only coming from the smaller chamber and only one port........hope this helps everyone...
