jl, but 150 watts is a lot for those components. Even though, thats in the recommended amplification. Just get the 300/3. 75 watts is plenty. Look in a car audio magazine and most amplify at 75-100 watts

 
I would go with the 300/2 unless you wanted to run your rear speakers off the amp as well. Can not go wrong with too much power plus shouldn't the 300/2 only deliver 75 watts to each speaker since they are 4 ohms. The XR components are nice BTW. I personally like the Boston Pro's over them. The pros sound sharper and have a much better sounding tweeter IMO. The JLs have a little better mid response though, but like I said not as sharp. On the other hand my pro installer likes the way the XRs sound better, but only the new 2002 models, supposedly they are different than the older models. At any the rate the pros are only a little more expensive and side by side they sound sharper and definitely could handle the power of a 300/2 and then some.
