8002/ IDQ wiring

I bought a orion 8002 and 2 IDQ d2's

I made the mistake of thinking I would get 400rms to each sub, thinking the 8002 did 400 x 2 at 2 ohms and i had dual 2 subs..

Number of Channels: 2

RMS Power (4 ohms): 200 watts x 2 chan,

RMS Power (2 ohms): 400 watts x 2 chan.

RMS Power (1 ohm): Not Stable

Bridged RMS Power: 800 watts x 1 chan.

Peak Power Output: 1600 watts approx.

Min. Impedance Unbridged: 2 ohms

Min. Impedance Bridged: 4 ohms

Now to solve the problem?

I could get the D4 Idq

I could get another 8002 and have one to each D2 Idq( ones that i have)

Or you guys have better advice?

Two 1200D's on a pair of IDQ's would probably kill them pretty quickly. You're much better off with the 8002 and a pair of IDQ's.

you are SOL.

you need dual 4's for the 8004 OR the 1200.1

ive been told u only need about 300 to run an idq to a good potential. i run mine at 500. im sure my amp is overrated a lil

well i had a idq15 and had it on 300 and it sounded really good then I wired it down to 1 ohm and put 600 to it. big mistake my old kappa amp blew it within a month. it sounded awesome though. but 2 1200ds would kill them pretty quickly.

i have a orion 8002 but y dont know how to put it for my subs it going to be wired to 2 ohm stereo , it has a swicth of low pass and high pass so if anyone has suggestion ???
