.5 cap or 1.0 cap??

if i have a 600 watt amp, would a .5 farad cap work or should i got with the 1.0 farad cap? someone help me out

I have always heard 1.0 farad per 1000 watts. I would spend the extra to go with the 1.0 farad cap inorder to save myself the trouble later when and if I were to upgrade to a larger amp. Also, a larger Cap cannot hurt. It can actually help by making more "clean" power avalible durring the big base hits. This may equal better sound as well as less strain on the power and charging systems of your vehicle.

If the 1.0 is not very expensive, get it. If it is, stick with the .5 b/c it should be enough.

go ahead and buy the 1 farad you can find one for $100 or less check any of the car audio sites
