I am moving into the design stage of the 4th order for the crew cab. I have hundreds of boxes under my belt, but only a few 4th orders. I made a few that did well in open cab style jeep installs for what it was. I used winISD. Im leaning more to the cone area style build then software. 2 12s with a sealed side about 2.25 and 2 or 3 times that for ported to 45ish hz. I would play with some designs and run them in my burban but I feel the cabs will be a huge difference on output. I have tried to look for data to help get more inside, but I haven't done well of getting what I am looking for.

2.25 between A pair can definitely work but it depends on the suspension. You can get away with 1 cube each. Now if the subs have 3-4+ layer spiders and thick surrounds you’ll need like 3 cubes each on the sealed end 🤣

Phat surround and only 2 layers
With 2 layers it will depend if nomex or poly cotton (compliance can be tested easily, dial indicator and a weight or by pulling TS specs) and if the surround is of a lager roll they are usually thicker. If it was nomex with that type of surround, you’ll need more then 2.25 cubic feet in the sealed side for the pair if you want it to have some nasty low end.

Getting er broke in...

Gotthe 2hp subs ready for final GOP and terminals on Tuesday. Will break in and run TS next week so I can get box ideas on 4th order.

is this a ported enclosure or a 4th order? If 4th and tuned to 33hz, unless specifically designed to do that, it wont have any bandwidth. It might...

I’m going to stick with the 4th order bandpass for now and see if it can improve it. The bandpass actually plays 100 rebased songs good.

I'd try rear facing. Have you tried opening the trunk to see if that restores your bass?

Any direction you orient a sub can affect it's output, this true even more so in a car. Nevertheless it doesn't add an order and generally...
