4channel amp into 2 dvc's

I have a four channel amp and it just occured to me by bridging the wire gets bigger so there is less resistance therefore less ohms ok well if I knew this to buy svc subs I would have but with a pair of dvc type R's and a 4 channel amp if I run a channel per coil is that a 4ohm load? Is there anyway to get a 2ohm load so I can get more watts outta it so I can run my 125x4 watt at 4ohm amp at more wattage in 2 ohm so I can get the full 300watts per sub? If I cant wire to 2ohm is 250 instead of 300 watts going to kill me and if I turn the gains down **** it that will **** but lets say I use half gain will that be ok!

jurmax-- your amp is not stable into

2 ohm mono you'll be getting the most

power at 4 ohm bridge/mono

by wiring your type R's in series /parallel

to the rear channel of your amp each sub would

be getting 250 watts ( per sub ) for a total of 500 watts

for the rear channel . then you'll

be able to use the front channels of your amp

to run another pair of type R's at 4 ohm bridge/mono

or mabe some seprates at 4 ohm stereo

for your front doors . " just a thought "

is a 2 channel amp rated at

250x2 at 4 ohm stereo

500x2 at 2 ohm stereo

1000x1 at 4 ohm bridge/mono (this amp is a 2 channel amp

and not a 4 channel amp)

on your original post you said that

you had a 4 channel amp

rated at

125x4 and you wanted to know how you

could wire your dual 4 ohm voice coil sub

to your amp for a 2 ohm mono load

so do you want to know how you could

wire you sub to that 2channel amp (that is on ebay)

or wire your sub to a 4 channel amp

( please explain)

sorry wrong link but same amp just now it is yes once again 4 channel like the one in my living room floor. Please help me out If I cant run 2 ohm I will under power. Hey thank you very much for the help I am in desperate need.

jrmax- the p-4125 is rated at

125x4 at 4 ohm stereo

250x4 at 2 ohm stereo

500x2 at 4 ohm bridge/mono

your type R's are dual 4 ohm voice coils subs

the only way to acheive a 2 ohm load with

your subs . would be by wiring both voice coils

in parallel (per sub) then wiring each sub

in 2ohm stereo for 250 watts per sub

for a total of 500 watts

the p-4125 is only stable at 4 ohm bridge/mono only.

for both front and rear channels (when in a bridge mode.)

so to run your sub at 2 ohm you'll have to run it in stereo

your best bet with those sub for more power would be to

#1-- a 2 channel amp rated between 600 to 800 watts at

4 ohm in bridge/mono

(wiring both subs in series/parallel)for a 4 ohm load

#2 -- a class d sub amp with between 600--800watts at 1 ohm mono

then wiring both subs in( parallel ) for a 1 ohm load

So if I wire it in stereo then I cant get more than 500 watts!

jrmax- how about wiring both subs

in series/parallel. for a 4 ohm load

then wiring your subs to your front

channels of your amp in a( bridge/mono) mode

for 500 watts.

then get another pair of type R's

dual 4 ohm voice coil subs and wire them

in series/parallel for a 4 ohm load

then wire them to the rear channels

of your amp in a( bridge/mono) mode

for 500 watts.

grand total

500 watts for your front bridge channel

and

500 watts for your rear bridge channel

I have a firebird 2 12's is a close fit and 4 wouldnt plus no money and I just want my 2 12 inch type R's to get over their RMS or close to it and if it has to be 2ohm load fine if not fine can anyone tell me how to get more watts to my subs please!?
