4 total tweeters would go to 2 or 4 channel amp?

im looking into buying 2 sets of tweeters (4 total) and i dont know if it would be for a 2 or 4. im guessing 4 channel but i just want to make sure.

i want to buy tweeters now and when i get the money buy the midranges... im short on money right now and it be cool i think getting seperate tweeters and then good midranges later on

Just get a decent component set. It will come out cheaper usually because the set will come with a crossover that is right for the tweet and mid and the package is cheaper than buying the individual components. For example, my CDT Eurosports were on sale for $439 when I bought them. The mids alone were going for $349 and the Tweets alone were going for $199 and the crossovers were another $199. For the price you will likely pay for a good 2 pairs of tweets you could have your front stage set up rather nicely with a good set of components and then when you get more money, you can get a decent pair of rear speakers if you think that you need them.

just get a component set. you can get cheap jbl and cerwin vega component sets for ~$50 off ebay. if you get the components seperately now, you'll have deal with matching crossovers, mids, and what not in the future.

Suit yourself. You can wire them to either a 2 or four channel amp.

thx guys. i dont have alot of money right now so how do u wire to 2 ohm load with 2 or 4 channel amps? the tweeters are 90 rms and i dont want to pay lotta money when i can possibly get it to go 90 rms when wired to two ohm load.

You can only get a 2 ohm load on the 2-channel not the 4. You would wire the individual speakers in parallel. Each one will only be getting half of the channel's power. Tweets are generally very efficient. 45 watts going to each of 4 tweeters will pretty much drown out everything else in the system (the cymballs will be all that you hear) and make your ears hurt.

I really don't think that you are going to be happy with this setup and you money would be better spent on a decent pair of components, but it's your system and your money.
