Been perusing the forum for a while now. Not really new to car audio but have been out of the mix for a few years and decided I'd build myself a new box since I've got some time.

Currently I'm using:

Sub: 15" Brahma MKII powered by an Orion 2500d.

Components: Diamond Audio D6's powered by a TRU T-4.100 v2

Headunit: Eclipse (cant remember model and to lazy to go look, 8v)

Battery: Kinetik KHC2400

Been working on my new enclosure in between work, and givin the woman quality time.

3.5^ft net after port and driver displacement tuned to 34hertz. Kerfed port and flushed driver.

Pissed off that in the rush of partial assembly the other day, I forgot to round over some parts of the port //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pissed.gif.9f665f96bc89e98e708dabd4580bb591.gif

Used some expanding foam from TAP Plastics I had laying around to fill in the area from the kerfed port to one of the internal port walls.

Enjoy

I'll update more as I continue assembly.

After the enclosure is finished, I'll carpet it, then start working on re-fabbing my doors for the components.

The kerf on the front of the enclosure is relief cuts, allowing you to bend the MDF. The second bend in the enclosure was two 45 degree cuts like \_/ in between the vertical port wall and the horizontal port wall. Another cut like that will be placed on the other corner to maintain the port width.

The expanding foam was only used to fill the gap.

Updated pics, Installing tomorrow hopefully.

Waiting for a set of Hertz HSK165s to arrive from another member of the forum that I bought from so I can start on the doors.

The carpet didn't turn out as good as I would have liked but I can redo it later I suppose. I remember now why I generally just paint everything lol

sweet lookin box! how deep in the mdf did you make your relief cuts? Ive only ever done it with birch, and figured mdf would snap if I tried to bend it

Lookin good 30 looks like your gonna have a pretty loud set up, I like the way you carpeted the box I'm on my iPhone but it doesn't look that bad, kerfed port looks good too nice so far keep up the good work

Thanks guys.

I hadn't build a box since 2006 so I'm pleased so far. It's nice to be able to get back into it and play around like I use to.

For shits here's some of my prior work. .
