2001 Bonneville

My little brother just got a car, a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville, and he wants to put a 750+ watt subwoofer system in it. The problem is that the 2001 Bonnevilles run on a pretty complex computer and I'm afraid putting such a system might screw up the computer and thus interfere with the engine (my suspicions were brought even further with a 'not liable' warning in the manual). My question is...does anyone have a 2001 Bonneville (or something with the same type of computer) with a system or could a subwoofer/amp interfere with the computer?
