$200 or so... give me an amp!

I've been trying to post and find an amp for my Alpine Type-R 12" that is coming in the mail soon.

The sub is DVC and rated at 300watts RMS and 1000watts peak. I was mainly interested in Rockford amps because they put out a lot of watts for what they cost; however, I'm open to suggestions.

Should I get an Alpine amp to go with the Alpine sub? It seems like they are expensive for the watts you get and I only have about $200... maybe $300 if I wait a while to buy this.

Any suggestions???
