What size enclosure do you have right now? What is it tuned to?

I'd go with about 2.0ft^3 per sub if you want to go ported.

I'd start with tweaking your head unit and amplifier, though. That's free, and can sometimes make a world of difference. Stay away from the bass boost and be careful with the gains, however.

They're definitely not my favourite driver, and I do believe there are better ones out there for the money.

Just please don't tell me you paid $199.99 per sub ... because then you really could've gotten much better for the money.

Oh, and yes, sound dampening will help the rattles and road noise.

Use second skin, fat mat, Peal and seal (if you live in colder areas), eDead... don't use dynamat. mtx's are okay subs... They're more spl than sq but not that good. Wire is wire is wire... Lower gauge wire does support heavier loads but other than that it's all the same.. no noticible difference. Anyways, good luck with all that

I didint pay $199 per sub. I actually got both for $199 i thought it was a good deal for the price but thnaks for ur guys help.
It's a decent deal ...

A whole hell of a lot better than $199 per sub.

You can wire those subs up @8 ohms if they are both SVC4 ohm subs, and that amp will run fine after being tuned properly...
